Cultivate18 LIVE Blog: Monday

After a long day of educational sessions I headed over to the Franklin Park Conservatory.  If you're ever in the Columbus area, it's definitely worth checking out.  It can serve as a great source of  inspiration for your own landscape!

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is situated within the 88-acre Franklin Park and is just two miles east of downtown Columbus. The Conservatory operates two parcels of land on the eastern side of the park which accounts for approximately 40-acres of the 88-acre Franklin Park.

The Conservatory building, future Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden and expanded Grand Mallway is home to the visitor experience and spans about 13-acres. The Visitor Experience consists of botanical biomes, lush gardens, special horticulture and art exhibitions, and seasonal offerings. A collection of glass works by artist Dale Chihuly is also on display and included with admission.

Seasonal exhibitions currently include Orchids, and family favorites Blooms & Butterflies and Gardens Aglow. The Conservatory hosts special, temporary exhibitions by national and international artists each year.

All ages can partake in a variety of special events and activities throughout the year. A full menu of classes, workshops and camps are offered in gardening, cooking, fine art and wellness.
